Social justice, gender equality, and #blacklivesmatter are as important to me as the air I breathe. I love fresh pressed coffee on foggy mornings (or after a long birth), believe that enchiladas are as close to food-heaven as I can get, and that everyone has a story to tell.

Oh sweet human, you have come to the right place. I am the QUEEN of awkward and weird smiles and I absolutely love to celebrate the messy side of us humans. In all honesty, I show up as my awkward chatty self. I go with the flow and once I get you talking about the little humans you love so much, suddenly, an hour or two has gone by and I have captured a little bit of the magic & joy of your family. So no, you won’t look miserable —you will look like your beautiful bad-ass self.
Why Films AND Photos?
Both are inexplicable time-capsules. Photos are the day to day momentos. They are the ones you put on your wall and in your albums. Films capture and celebrate the non-linear labyrinth we walk in our day to day that eventually slips away into tomorrow: its the sight and sounds of sparkly laughs, tiny voices, the way they hugged your belly or jumped into your arms. Films are your very own memory box.
I want to book you, but I am worried I don’t have the right clothes or the right home.
Home is where the heart is and that’s where you live. Even crotchety ol’ Tom Waits famously croaked, “If there’s love in a house, its a palace for sure.” And honestly, I am there to capture your love, your today… not the stains on the carpet or the dishes in the sink (though I love those things as well). As for clothes and what to expect during a session, once you book, I walk you through it all and will send you PDF “Field Guide” to help you out!

Doula and Photo? How do you do both? Do you ever doula without your camera?
As a mother of more than one kid, I can tell you, honestly, it is an art in multitasking. Birth is a very human event ––unique to mammals— and its very important to feel safe and loved —which is why you get my doula heart at every birth and family session I document. And yes, I do DOULA without my camera —. I absoultely love it.
