They say the days are long but the years are short, and they aren’t wrong.

That’s right, you heard me: perfection is a myth.
It took me a long time to understand that what I loved best about humanity was how absolutely un-perfect we are.
And it took me a long time to be compassionate about how absolutely NOT perfect I was –that really, the best thing for my own kids was to show up, just as I am, in that moment right then and there.
One of the most important gift you can give your children is images of YOU with THEM; together. It has nothing to do about perfection. Your children will always know you as the most beautiful human in the world. Give them this gift for them to hold onto for their own children.
